We made it through the holidays, but our journey has just begun. Dust off your traveling cloak and get ready to power up, score loot, or explore the skies with some of these favorites.

Hollow Knight (33% off) Nominated for multiple awards, including Best Debut Indie Game from The Game Awards (2017), Hollow Knight is a beautiful masterpiece. Enjoy this unique twist on an action adventure with insects as the heroes. The city of Dirtmouth is empty and it’s up to you to descend into the depths of Hallownest to find its lost inhabitants. Explore twisting caverns, ancient cities, and deadly wastes. Battle tainted creatures and befriend bizarre bugs. Uncover ancient history and solve the mysteries buried at the kingdom’s heart. The Pillars of the Earth (50%) This beautiful game is based off of Ken Follett’s bestseller, The Pillars of the Earth and retells the story of the village of Kingsbridge in a whole new interactive way. In the game you get to play as Jack, Aliena and Philip and change the events of the book through exploration, decision-making and dialogues. The setting is 12th Century, England: In a time of great poverty and war, a small town begins the ambitious construction of a new cathedral to claim wealth and security for its people. Philip the monk becomes prior of the small abbey of Kingsbridge. At the same time, Jack is raised in the woods by his outlawed mother. His apprenticeship as a stonemason paves his way to become a gifted master builder. Together with the disgraced noblewoman Aliena, Jack and Philip begin the construction of one of the greatest cathedrals England will ever see.

Late Shift (50%) A high stakes FMV crime thriller that’s also available with Xbox Game Pass. The story was written by the author of “Sherlock Holmes (2009)” and you can tell a monumental amount of time went into creating a great story. Playing as Matt, an innocent mathematics student forced into a robbery, you are left trying to find the right path to prove his innocence in the brutal London heist. Your choices will have consequences from the very start, right through to the very end. One small decision could change the entire outcome in a choose-your-own-adventure style gameplay that can lead to one of seven conclusions.

Ys Origin (50%) Often considered one of the greatest Japanese RPG series of all time, Ys Origin is the first title of the series to come to Xbox and it is fantastic! Following a devastating demonic invasion, the twin Goddesses use their magic to bring the inhabitants of legendary Ys safely into the sky. While the demons work to construct Devil’s Tower and reach the humans’ new abode, the Goddesses disappear. As a mighty warrior or a cunning mage, you must seek the Goddesses in Devil’s Tower. Whether you’re new to the series or a seasoned vet, Ys Origin is a fantastic game for everyone.

Owlboy (40%) With a unique perspective and beautiful art style, Owlboy introduces us to the loveable mute Otus who struggles to live up to the expectations of owl-hood. Things then spiral from bad to worse with the sudden appearance of sky pirates. Dive into this charming story with great music, memorable characters and game play that will keep you coming back for more.
